UBC Okanagan Arts student receives Interdisciplinary Co-op Student of the Year Award

The UBC Okanagan Interdisciplinary Co-op Student of The Year Award recognizes one outstanding co-op student for their personal and professional development through work-integrated learning. This year’s winner, Bachelor of Arts student Lisvet Parra Montas shares how her co-op experience played a pivotal role in igniting passions and uncovering future career pathways.

Interdisciplinary Co-op Education Program: Annual Report 2020-2021

The continued growth across all undergraduate programs in co-op throughout 2020-2021 shows that students are prioritizing opportunities to gain work integrated learning experiences and see Co-op as a valuable component within their academic journey. Students value the addition of Co-op to their educational experience, as it provides opportunity to develop professional work experience and a rich network of contacts, all while earning an income and exploring career options.
